The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards
In order to not offend anyone, let's just plan to use the term 'costume' and not 'fashion' throughout this blog post. I get it, musicians are so to speak 'artists' and, therefore, should be held to a different red carpet standard than say actresses.
So, with that in mind (theatrics) here are a few of my favorite 'costumes'.
Lady Gaga
The Queen of . . . . . Egg in Your Face (Hey Madonna, duck!)
Wings & a Wonder Bra. . . .?
Katy Perry (From the Victoria Secret's Grammy Collection)
Look Mom, No Panty Lines
Rihanna (Question is - do the drapes match the, ahem, carpet)
Heidi Seals The Deal in This Gold Number
Heidi Klum
Marc Who . . . . .?
Jennifer Lopez (Apparently, purse more important to have in photo than husband)
Johnny Depp (from The Tourist) Called, He Wants His Look Back
John Mayer (I don't know why I love his music so much when I completely abhor him as an individual. I'm at such a musical conflict.)
Best - 'Scalp-To-Toe'
Best - 'Do I Look Like I Know Where Bieber Is?'
(My Rock Star Boyfriend) Lenny Kravitz
Best - 'Under Age'
Willow Smith (Age & shoe size the same)
- - - -
The Kardashian Sisters
Best Kardashian
Oops, my mistake. Above picture Eva Longoria
Worst Kardashian
I know, I'm a tease. It's Snooki
Kimmy, the, ahem, real Kardashian
Here's Hoping the Double Sided Tape Holds

Here are a few of my favorite Grammy Performances . . . . . .
What Da . . . . .
Cee Lo Green (It's hard to stand out in a Muppet Band )
The Peacock
'Her Majesty' signing solo, guessing Mick still has his panties in a wad over Keith's tell-all book LIFE.
Looking Egg-ilicious
Lady Gaga singing her new hit (?) Born This Way
(Guessing yellow filmy cloth is supposed to be . . . yolk?)
In conclusion, I am getting way too old to care about watching The Grammys. Had never heard most of the songs. A couple of the bands were so loud (Muse & Arcade Fire) that I had to hit mute several times on the remote control. Plus, the show didn't end until 10:30, ugh.
What is the difference between Best Record & Best Album? I didn't think that they even made 'records' anymore.
And, is Gwyneth supposed to be an actress singing or a real singer, still confused. And, if she is a real singer, is she a country western singer or an Oscar winning actress singing in a country western twang? Someone please clarify. Because last night she was a pop singer?
Cee Lo Green, Gwyneth, and The Muppets - how very realistic.
*Disclaimer - all photos downloaded from MSN during the show. I was not in attendance.

Thank you! I'm in agreement with most of who and what you've mentioned above. If I might add (I've been so wanting for a place to vent a little about this!) - Lady Ga Ga's new song, "Born This Way". But, first, about the costume/egg hatching out of the vessel thing ... I loved what Kelly Osborne on Fashion Police described LGG and her dancers wearing material that looked like "used condoms". Sorry for repeating that - but Eww!
Back to the "new" song ... has anyone else thought it sounds suspiciously like Madonna's, "Express Yourself"? I imagine Ga Ga's Little Monsters (her endearing term for her fans) are too young to remember Madonna's controversial (at the time) video where she's wearing a dog collar with a chain and licks from a bowl of milk, before she pours it down her back and then makes love to the factory worker who was covered in water and grease.
And, about Mick Jagger ... he might be an old Rock Star, but he can still rock an audience!

We know Mary was 19, lived by herself.
We know she won a few beauty contests, dreamt of getting out of Indiana, being an actress.
